Consoling the heart of Jesus

Good Friday meditation drawing  When Saint Therese was a little girl she had a prayer card with a painting of Jesus imprisoned in his cell looking at a single flower. This single flower was the source of his consolation. Saint Therese from those moments wished to be that flower providing comfort to our Lord throughout her life.

A Reflective Moment

Although the picture isn't very good, and the collage registers poorly, it's really quite a delight to me and I have always treasured this piece. It's my very first collage art made toward the end of the millenium (if I recall rightly).

Pictured is a lady reading while in bed in a rather cumbersome Victorian dress (quite impractical I know). The scene is very far from my origins in Southeast Asia but since we were colonized by the Spanish for 400 years, the attire won't seem so far-fetched.

The flash sort of washes out the bed board and pillow details. I just loved making the cat and was thus so inspired that I made my second piece dedicated to cats (to be posted soon).
