This is my first time to join the One World One Heart Event for bloggers all over blogland!

My giveaway will be this wooden decoupage necklace with metal accents on a leather cord.
I will make a one of a kind design for you by personalizing it with your name and your name's meaning. I hope you like it!

All you need to do is comment at the bottom (you don't need to have a blog) and you will have a chance to win it! Please be sure to include your e-mail address so I can reach you.
I also suggest you visit the other blogs signed up with giveaways and bookmark the beautiful ones that inspire you! Enjoy!

Sunlight through my window

One day the sunlight was streaming into my room making everything translucent, soft and glowy. I wanted to capture the moment. I took a picture of my watercolor painting and the sunlight was also streaming through it.

Decoupage is delightful

Decoupage is delightful, specially when it is worn around your neck! I have been using a lot of butterflies in my designs lately as they signify for me such marvelous change... new life!
I have not yet worn these pieces. They are what you call "fresh out of the oven". They satisfy my urge to express myself even when I am totally quiet.

The fish is another symbol I enjoy using. They don't exude warmth but a sense of sturdy practicality. They survive, they find a way. If one looks closely, they can read what I've placed there. Some tiny words of inspiration.
All these pieces are available at our shop http://www.papemelroti.com/beads.htm They are in limited supply only or if ever they come out again in a new batch, the price might be higher.

Mother and Child in Pastel

While slurping my salad with honey mustard sauce, I want to tell you about this pastel piece. It was supposed to be part of an exhibit with the Mother and Child theme. This is the first time I've dabbled in pastel and actually try to make a piece of art with it. I was not impressed by the outcome but a friend really liked it. It's now on display in our apartment. Another friend requested for a similar piece but with a couple as the subject as she wanted it as her wedding gift.

It's decidedly Filipino with the woven hat and bright vivid colors.

The Cat Lady

This is one of my favorite work. It pictures a young lady amongst a kindle of cats. That's what I picture a perfect life to be! Of course without the absurd expenses for catfood or hours of kitty litter training. Initially I started cloth collages to earn some extra money but once I finished one, I couldn't ever part with it!

I made use of magazine pictures, cloth, lace, thin wood pieces and felt paper for the cats.

I grew up with cats and kittens so this truly delights me whenever I see it.
