It's all about love today. Tremendous, overflowing, limitless, unconditional love.
Just the other day, my friends and I went stargazing. I was able to capture the moon by holding my camera up to the telescope (otherwise known as digiscoping). It isn't a perfect shot I know, but to me, it is so grand.
I had to take several practice shots until a passable shot, happened. It was difficult to have a shot that had the gradations of the craters because more often than not, it turned out to be just a white blurry sphere.
That got me thinking about the expanse of the sky and how immeasurable the universe is.
Thoughts like this can only lead one to WHY? Why is there a sky? a moon? an ocean? Then it hit me, it is so we know the height and depth and breadth of God's love for us.
"For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him" - Psalm 103:11
So we can imagine what this means - "Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:39
My wish for you today: "May you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is." - Ephesians 3:18

ReplyDeleteVery encouraging and uplifting post! Don't you love it when 'the heavens declare the glory of the Lord'?! And my daughter is always telling me how hard it is to get good pictures of the moon...great job!
