5 Minute Craft: Air Freshener from Foam Packaging

You know how apples come in those little foamy net things?  I always found them so well made that I couldn't throw them away.  So today I'm going to share with you what we personally use here at home and how it makes our everyday tidying up all the more pleasant!

To be perfectly honest, not everything was recycled. When I made the first one, I casually was talking to my husband about how I wanted to make another one (for more air sweet freshness!) - but didn't have anymore flowers.

After a day or two, the flowers came! My husband is so sweet!

Here's how it looks like as a finished product. It's not at all fancy shmancy but it really works! My husband told me how nice our bathroom smells nowadays so it will work for you too!

We also don't like wearing perfume (and we forget to use up what we have) so this was the perfect solution!

MATERIALS:
Foam packaging (from buying apples)
Dried flowers
Scissors
Rubber Band
White Plastic Bag
Perfume

If you don't have any surfaces where you can put this, you can add the handle by using strips of plastic, cut from a plastic bag. Then you can hang it on your window or on a hook. (Note: This will take more than 5 minutes)

I'm thinking that this project can also be for those little battery operated candles (the small ones).  Put one inside and make a lot of these so you can have some ambiance for an event.

ADDITIONAL UPDATE!

CRAFT+:  Foam Flower Vases

Here's another way you can use these foamy little bunches!  With only 3 steps, it's super easy too!  It will probably take you 2 minutes to make!

MATERIALS:
Foam packaging (from buying apples)
Plastic Water Bottle
Scissors
Cutter
Pebbles (optional)

1) Carefully cut the water bottle with the cutter (at the height you want your vase to be).

2) With your scissors, tim the edge to make it neat.

3) Insert the bottle into the foam pack and trim the foam edges according to the size of your bottle.  Put pebbles inside the bottle if you need additional stability for your vase.  (I didn't use any for these).

Aren't they dainty looking with a bit of lace?

What do you think of these super easy projects? Can you do these in 5 minutes or less? Enjoy!
