A Song of Praise: Tribute to Jing Pilapil

 

I want to say thanks to a special man who came into our family's life and turned it around for the better.  He put the music to the Our Father above.

His name is Jing Pilapil and early on, we knew him to be a man of many talents.  He is my late brother-in-law.  Even before he married my sister, he would come into our home, and with his commanding presence, bring a lot of wisdom and laughter to our days.

He coached us in singing, shared truths from the Holy Bible with us and taught us how to enjoy life.  He lived life to the full!  Though he generously shared his music with everyone who cared to listen, and his family never thought to claim rights to his music, it has gone all over the world. 

A popular karaoke company that shares his music with millions on a Traditional Christian Song List doesn't seem to be aware that Jing did actually did not popularize these songs but he composed them.

Jing's music revolutionalized the Charismatic movement in the Philippines.  He was the music ministry leader for Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon (The Joy of the Lord) covenanted community in Metro Manila, Philippines.

It has served to fuel the fire of love for God in countless souls!  It also helped raise funds for many Christian ministries long after he had passed away.  One such group is Christ's Youth in Action.
