Saint Aldegunais, Patron of Cancer

Belgian-born Saint Aldegunais (633-January 30, 684) is one known to pray for many things.  She is the patron saint -

She was the daughter of holy parents who are both canonized saints of the Catholic Church Saint Walbert and Saint Bertila.  Virtue was contagious in their family as her sister and aunt were also saints - Saint Waldetrudis and Saint Madalberta. They belonged to the royal family of Merovingians.

Saint Aldegunais was the abbess of a Benedictine monastery in the desert of Malbode.

Today January 30th is her feast day.  Saint Aldegunais, pray for us!
